Look, to be fair, I am sure the Turisas quintet is comprised of bright, nice and cuddly people who mean well. Century Media similarly must have the best of intentions trying to take care of its business and cover all angles. This is not personal.
But, can we get serious for a moment here? This album is not metal. This album is not good. There is barely any metal in this puree of Rammstein-meets-Russian polka. The band looks like a gang of Bal Sagoth fans on a pilgrimage to a rugby game, but this does nothing to entice me to find out what a Turisas is or which way Varang is going. - Anna Tergel
