Reviews TVANGESTE - FIRESTORM - WORLDCHAOS
In order to clarify any questions readers might have, this band's second album was due out through Valgalder Records of Norway but all rights were sold to Japan's Worldchaos Records.
Tvangeste is one of those annoying acts whose pretentiousness reeks to the high heavens. The self-described Prussian band (presumably they live near Poland in Russia), is heavily influenced by Cradle Of Filth. The band has devised a concept based on an old Prussian myth and conceptualized the idea to fit into the package called Firestorm. The line-up lists flute, K&F, orchestra and other instruments of the weak. Having said that, the band is quite adept at what it does. The sound is also professional and comes across with the right mix of power and clarity. While CoF mixes metallic elements with goth, this bunch lean more towards Classical music when defiling their metal. Additionally, the band sticks to the mid-pace, seldom braking or accelerating to change the tempo. - Ali "The Metallian"
