Reviews VACUUM - CLIMBING MY SKY - MACHINE GOD/ART MUSIC
Via the offices of Art Music (Inhuman) comes this five-song MCD by
Czech band Vacuum which is marketed as melodic death metal. In essence,
the Czechs play keyboard-oriented heavy music with deep vocals, which
has little to do with death metal. The band has a sound reminiscent of
Phlebotomized. Bands such as this are not exactly my style.
Additionally, keyboards and other weak and non-metal instruments are
trendy and used this year by every second band. Still, this is not a
review for myself, and as such Vacuum, despite a fairly bottom-heavy
production, is a contender in this genre and fans of early My Dying
Bride, Phlebotomized or Paramaecium will not be sorry for purchasing
this. The album is distributed by Red Stream on this continent and by
