WINDIR - LIKFERD - HEAD NOT FOUND
Windir is a Norwegian band and not so unpredictably the cover seemingly depicts a funeral at sea. As predictably, the band has keyboards, hoarse vocalizing and the other trappings of fjordic shallowness. Perhaps had someone told the band that their heroes, one Enslaved and two Hades, are themselves second-rate bands things would have taken a better turn, but as things stand the band is a fourth rate (that's two to the power of two for the illiterate outside the moat) one destined for the rubbish bin of near-metal history.
The thing is, keyboards to metal is like genital warts to testicles. It is always there; always unwanted and perpetually annoying. No self-respecting metal fan from a country where metal actually has a market - Ukraine does not count because mention is of on a format other than CDR - would touch a band playing with keyboards. After all, that would be like asking someone to feel your warts. - Ali "the Metallian"
