Seattle, USA's Fallen Angels have enlisted Michael Rosen (Forbidden, Death Angel, etc.) to produce this their third album. A band referencing the Bay Area thrash sound and era can immediately place themselves in the dated category. That description can be a positive depending on its execution. The opener, The Hammer's Blow, is straightforward thrash, perhaps too much so. The no-nonsense speedy thrash continues in Nightmare. The quintet's guitarists - Matt Be Roth and Erik Hansen - inject the double solo in the song to add the 'technical' to it and the bassist, Carl Larsson, takes some inspiration from Steve DiGiorgio (Sadus, Death, etc.) to do the same. The song itself sounds a bit like late '80s Overkill in parts. Forsaken Existence continues the same path, sometimes not very convincingly. Leading The Blind starts heavy and Bard Kennaugh's vocals may remind some listeners of DRI's Kurt Brecht. Overall the song fits right in and is a time machine to 1987 or 1988. Fire At Eden's Gate would be a shorter time travel, it is more controlled. Into The Abyss features the traditional backing vocals screaming the song chorus. The Hour Of The Time is very nihilistic and reminiscent of Mortal Sin's type of thrash. Mortis Ex Machina continues the lyrical theme highlighted by the album title. An unlisted outro closes World In Decay. Check the thrashers at - Anna Tergel

The side of the CD has the album listed as Infants Of Trash. Infants doesn't make much more sense and this is not trash. The cover art looks like a comic book version of The Matrix human farm. Infants Of Thrash is this Greek quintet's first full-length. Born In War... starts the 12 song album ominously. It jumps straight into Great Society Shutdown which continues the war theme and is about the Vietnam war. The song is all out chaos, speedy, thrashy and hardcore-ish. Theo's vocals give the band a more punk or hardcore dimension. His aggressive shouts fit well in with the noisy production. The situation in the band's country and world are obvious influences in lyrics like 'Justice is imprisoned ... Her laws are laid to rest ... Truth is raped ... Justice gone' on Zero Hour. Killing Joke triggers head banging when its speedy parts kick in, it also features a fast solo. The bass seems to get louder in the mix on You Will Know My Name, the song structure and screamed chorus take the song deeper into hardcore territory too. Demonstration Of Democracy is fully anarchist and anti-politician. Seal Of Justice keeps the speed and mayhem going with a catchy touch too. Needle's End takes a slower and heavier turn to start then becomes speedy again, it explores drugs and suicide. Thrash Pit doesn't let up and celebrates the pit. Loss Of Sanity and the title track take turns predicting doom and celebrating thrash and metal. The latter is made for moshing. Epilogue Of Conquest is the back to the silence song or outro that is neither needed nor required. Head over to for more. – Anna Tergel
